Corrections

Getting it right matters more than getting it first. If we publish something wrong, we fix it in the open.

How to report an error

Send the article URL, the specific sentence, and what should be there instead to hello@hobbywaves.com — or use the contact form and choose “Correction.” We acknowledge every report.

How we label changes

  • Correction — a fact was wrong. The article carries a dated note explaining what changed.
  • Clarification — the facts held, but the wording could mislead. Dated note added.
  • Update — new information advanced a developing story. Noted at the top.
  • Retraction — the core claim did not hold. The story is withdrawn with an explanation left in place.

What we don't do

We don't silently rewrite published claims, delete stories to hide mistakes, or remove accurate coverage because a subject asked us to.
